Level I
Level 1.1: I’ve never skied.
Level 1.2: I can slide, slightly change direction, and come to a stop.
Level 1.3: I am able link basic/wedge turns together without stopping on the easiest blue slope . My turns are usually all the same size.
Level 1.4: I am linking turns together smoothly on all blue ski slope. I can make narrow and wide turns.

LEVEL II
Level 2.1: I am skiing mostly parallel in a couple different turn sizes and shapes on most blue ski slopes. I am beginning to use my poles and can hockey stop in both directions.
Level 2.2: I can skiing parallel and confidently on all groomed blue slopes. I am exploring un-groomed trails and the easiest bumps. I usually make the same turn sizes and shapes on un-groomed trails.
Level 2.3: I am able to make parallel turns with a pole plant on all red and black ski slopes. I am exploring un-groomed black terrain, including bumps. I can change my turn sizes and shapes for the different challenges.

LEVEL III
Level 3.1: I am making different turns sizes and shapes, including rhythmic short turns and large carved turns, on all red and black ski slopes (groomed or un-groomed). I feel comfortable exploring harder blacks and easier double black slopes.”
Level 3.2: I can ski the entire mountain and am working on skiing faster, smoother, difficult lines, and learning different strategies in the hardest slopes terrain and snow conditions.
Also in our ski school you can structure your private lesson however you choose, whether it’s fun-for-the-whole-family, or a couple’s escape to Poiana Brasov . If you choose , you can have your personal guide / ski instructor for exploring the Carpathian Mountain.

*R&J Ski School is the place where my passion for skiing took of at a very young age. I’ve had the most amazing instructors and models to look up to. They helped me out a lot of situations teaching me about technique, but also equipment, as their center is all about that. Recently, they brought the newest boot fitting technology here, in Romania, where i had a chance of trying it out. I have never been 100% comfortable in my ski boots, so this was a game changer. They’ve got all different types of tools, such as a 3D scanner and a machine that morphs on your feet, to create the perfect fit. To top it all off, these procedures are done by certified professionals, so there’s no way this won’t be beneficial for your enjoyment out on the slopes.

Quality vs. cost of renting ski equipment
Some of ski rental shops offer different packages according to quality. Beginner skiers will probably want to look at the most basic package, including kit designed to help control your speed or stop, and safely allow you to enjoy the sport.
Intermediates who have skied on a number of occasions should invest a little more, if they can, in a package that will help them improve their technique and allow them to pick up a little more speed.
More advanced skiers can take advantage of demo packages. By this point, you should be accustomed to the slopes and have a preference on what type of skiing you enjoy best. This is a great stepping stone if you’re considering buying your own equipment, but you’re not sure about which brand or size is best for you just yet.
It goes without saying, quality comes at a cost, so the more advanced the package is, the more costly it’s likely to be.
